Natural Habitat

Natural Habitat is a project that experiments with translating insect anatomy and behavior into three-dimensional forms. The project is highly experimental and began with the close analysis of beetles, using observational drawing and physical studies to understand their structure, segmentation, and movement.

Through drawing and model-making, I gradually developed abstract forms that informed my design process toward a pavilion-scale proposal. I worked across multiple mediums, moving from pencil sketches to physical models made with bamboo, and later exploring structural logic through LEGO constructions. These explorations were then translated into digital space using Cinema 4D, where the pavilion form was further developed and refined.
